General Rental Conditions BACK TO RESERVATION
In all cases, the person designated on the booking agreement (the Tenant) will accept the general rental conditions on the part of all tenants and will therefore be held responsible for any damage or loss incurred by them or by visitors to the apartment during your rental.
The apartment cannot be occupied by more than the number of people stated on the booking agreement, unless specific agreement is given by the owner (the renter).
Pets are not permitted. The apartment is non-smoking.
Our apartment is situated in a residential building, therefore we ask our clients and its visitors to respect their neighbors by not making excessive noise, especially early in the morning and late at night, both in the apartment and communal areas such as the staircase. Also please remember that the apartment you are renting is privately owned and that owner makes every effort to make your stay as pleasant as possible in a home away from home. In return, we are grateful you respect the owner’s property and possessions as if they were your own and to maintain the apartment in an orderly manner during your stay.
Booking and confirmation
The weekly rate specifiied in the Rates Page is in euros all taxes included for seven nights. The apartment may also be rented for shorter periods of four nights minimum based on a rate per night detailed in the Rates Page.
To secure your reservation, we require a down payment of 50% of the total rental cost, unless we are within 60 days of your arrival. In this case we require upon booking full payment. Your rental will be confirmed when you have emailed us a signed copy of the rental agreement and paid 50% of the rental. The down payment is required within 7 days after booking else we reserve the right to rent the apartment to another guest.
On receipt of the deposit and the rental agreement, your reservation will be confirmed and we will send you a complete information pack, which explains arrival details, keys and so on. You will find a welcome pack in our apartment with information on our area and Paris, our favorite bakers, patisseries, cheese chops, gourmet and wine shops, butchers, fish stores, open markets, cafés and restaurants, etc.
The remaining 50% of the rent is due 60 days before your arrival. If a reservation is made within 60 days of arrival, then the total amount is due.
A 1000€ security deposit will be requested upon check-in in cash (dollars or euros) or via Paypal payment before arrival. The security deposit is fully refundable and we will give it back after you departure, minus any reserves for damage or phone usage.
The purpose of the deposit is to cover us for potential damage to the property and its content, extra cleaning if the apartment isn’t left as expected, and for phone usage.
The rental price includes:
- All taxes
- Water, normal electricity usage
- Heating and air-conditioning
- Basic household supplies (including bath gel, soap, coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, a bottle of water)
- Free telephone communications(local, US, Canada and Australia)
- TV and cable connection with international channels
- Unlimited high speed internet connection including WiFi
- Bed linen and towels
- Cleaning and change of linen and towels once a week
Arrival procedure
You will be welcomed by the owner (or its representatives), who will take you around your apartment , do the inventory check list and provide you with all the explanations.
Check-in time is 3pm onward.
Please let us know your estimated time of arrival. Should you land early in the morning after a long night-flight, you will be able to let your luggage in the apartment and we will do our best to finish the cleaning before 3pm.
Please bring with you a copy of your confirmation mail and your ID or passport.
Departure procedure
Check-out time before 11am.
Please confirm at least 2 days before your departure your departure time. The owner will meet you 1 hour before your departure time to proceed with you to the apartment inventory, and if everything is fine, to refund your security deposit.
During your stay
We will be happy to assist you during your stay with any advice or additional service such as baby-sitting, taxi booking.
Security deposit
On your arrival at the apartment, the person whose name appears on the booking agreement (the Tenant) will be asked to pay by Paypal before arrival or by cash a 1000€ security deposit directly to the owner or his representative. The security deposit will be refunded by the owner to the renter following the inventory at your departure.
Any damage or loss that occurs to the apartment or its contents during your stay will be debited from the security deposit. Receipts will be provided for repair or replacement of damaged/missing items or for supplementary cleaning.
If there is no damage or loss, your security deposit will be refunded in full.
In the case of important damage or loss, the renter reserves the right to take legal action against the renter. This booking agreement is governed by French law and any dissent arising from its execution will be dealt with under the exclusive competence of French Courts.
The owner and/or the renter cannot be held responsible for the temporary defect of equipment, for water leaks, for electricity power cuts, for a water reduction cuts through no fault of his/her own, for loss, breakage or injury due to weather conditions, riot, strike or any other circumstances independent of his/her control.
In the case that the apartment is destroyed or considerably damaged before the beginning of the rental, the renter will be notified by e-mail and completely reimbursed as soon as possible.
Cancellation and amendments policy
- Cancellation over 90 days before arrival, the initial payment is refunded minus 100€ admin fees including 2% bank processing fee.
- Cancellation 90 days and 60 days before arrival, 50% of the initial payment is retained
- Cancellation less than 60 days before arrival or no show, 100% of the rent is retained.
- Should you interrupt your stay, there will be no refund.
Change of the number of guests:
- fewer guests, less than 30 days before arrival, there will be no refund
- more guests, the extra cost is due upon confirmation or at the latest upon arrival
Change of the number of days
- fewer days, no refund
- more days, the related additional rate is due upon confirmation or at the latest upon arrival
All cancellations and/or amendments must be made by email.
We strongly recommend that the client purchases at the time of booking travel insurance with cancellation cover.
Additional information
Cleaning
The accommodation is cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival. The accommodation should be left in a reasonable condition. The owner is entitled to charge additional fees if the accommodation is not left as such.
Number of guests
The client must confirm the number of guests in the rental agreement. If this number varies during your stay, you must book for the highest number of persons that will occupy the accommodation.
Unless otherwise agreed by the renter, only the number of guests indicated by the client in the booking is authorized to use the accommodation. The number of persons who may use the accommodation must not exceed its allocated capacity, except for children under four years old. In the event of any infringement of these obligations, the renter is entitled to evict the client and his/her guests from the accommodation; thereby forfeiting the right to any compensation by the client.
Liabilities
Neither ParisAuthenticLiving nor the owner nor the renter of the accommodation shall be made liable for any direct or indirect damages that may occur during the stay-period at the accommodation, including (but not exclusive to): injury to person or possession, losses because of fire, theft or criminal behavior.
